David Collins, 73, of White City, died Aug. 14, 2007 at Rogue Valley Medical Center of complications from a stroke five days previous.
He was born in Winfield, Kansas on May 12, 1934, the youngest of six children, to Emmanuel Marshall Collins and Minnie Hilma Gibbs Collins.
The Collins and Gibbs families moved to the Medford area in 1936. The
Collins family moved to southern California when Mr. Collins was eight
years of age. In 1971, he returned to Oregon with his wife and two
children and settled in Sams Valley.
He was an airplane
mechanic in the US Air Force, a railroad switchman for Kaiser Steel
Mill, an electrician for the City of Medford and a bus driver for RVTD.
He had a playful sense of humor and enjoyed cars and motorcycles.
include his wife, Anna Louise Collins; a daughter, Debora Ann Collins
and a son, Michael David Collins and four grandchildren .
