Earl Murl Deen

Earl Murl Deen, age 92, died Sunday July 29 at Farmington Square Assisted Living in Medford.  A visitation was held Aug. 2.
Mr. Deen was buried at Butte Falls Cemetery. No service was planned.
He was born in Sweet Idaho, Feb. 15, 1915.  Murl and Ema (Hazel) Deen and Earl moved to Eagle Point when he was a young boy.  He lived in Eagle Point his entire life.  On Feb. 25, 1941 in Reno, he married Zella Dunlap.
He was a logger and worked for Medco for over 40 years, becoming the "bull buck".  He
attended Derby School near Butte Falls area and was past master of the Upper Rogue Grange.  He enjoyed taking care of this cows and working at the Midway Country Store.
He is survived by two sons, Harvey Deen, Eagle Point and Steven Deen, Prospect, three grandchildren, Deborah Lewis, Eagle Point, Paul Deen, San Diego, Calif and Russell Deen, Eagle Point and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.
