Eagles lose to Mt. View

Eagle Point High dropped their second game of the season against one win in a Sept. 14 contest with the #3 ranked Mt. View High of Bend.
The score was tied at 14-all after the first period, then the Eagles managed the only score of the second period, taking a 20-14 lead to the locker room.  But that jubilation was short-lived as Mt. View jumped ahead on Eagle turnovers in the third period, racking up 21 points to take a 15-point lead to the final period.  The visitors added to their lead with one fourth-period score while the Eagles were shut out in the entire second half.  The final was Eagles 20-Mt. View 42.

Austin Marlia had two TD runs of nine and two yards for the Eagles. 
Scott Erickson, after throwing seven TD passes during the first two
games, continued with a hot hand.  He finished the game by connecting
on 24 of his 40 passes for a total of 240 yards for the game.  Garrett
Davis caught eight of those passes for a game total of 87 yds.
Gibson of Mt View had 28 carries for 280 yards and 5 TD’s.  Coach
