The Eagle Point Eagles Volleyball team ran two more wins off this week on the final home stand of the season to remain in the driver seat for the number two position in the Southern Sky Conference.
On Tuesday night, the Eagles beat The Crater Comets 3 games to 1 (25-19; 25-19; 25-27; 25-23) The Eagles were lead in this effort by Ashley Josephson who had 19 assists and 9 kills in addition to Katie Jolliffe leading the team with 19 kills and Marsha DeVaughn recording 15 digs. Thursday night the Eagles faced off against The Mazama Vikings in the traditional senior’s night. After losing the first game (22-25) the Eagles went on to win three straight (25-16; 25-6; 25-11). The team was again lead by Ashley Josephson with 18 assists, 10 digs and 7 kills. Katie Jolliffe had 20 kills and 11 digs and Ellery Kaiser had 8 digs and 9 assists.
The Eagles are currently in second place in the Southern Sky Conference with a record of 4-3. The final game of the season is Tuesday, October 23rd, in Ashland as the Eagles take on the first place Ashland Grizzlies.
