Shelby Allan Frazier

Shelby Allan Frazier, died Oct. 8, 2007, at his home in Eagle Point of natural causes. He was born in 1951 to Elmer and Cora Frazier in Wyandotte, Mich. He crew up in Michigan and later moved with his mother to Talent in 1967.
He was a graduate of Phoenix High School where he met Terri Frazier, his wife to be.
He joined the Marines directly out of high school and served four years, which included a tour in Vietnam.

On Nov. 24, 1972, in Honolulu, he married Terri. After his honorable
discharge, they moved back to Oregon. He obtained a bachelors degree in
sociology at Southern Oregon State College. During that time he also
started his law enforcement career in 1977 with the Talent Police
He and his family moved to LaGrande in 1978
where he continued his police work and completed his college education.
He left the LaGrande Police Department as a captain and became police
chief of Prairie City and later was police chief in Lovell, Wyo. He and
his wife moved back to Oregon in 2001 where he began his present
position as police chief at the VA Domiciliary in White City.
addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Andrew Allan
Frazier and Amy Lynn Bailey, both of Central Point; a sister, Shirley
Roberts and his mother, Cora Jensen, both  of La Puente, Calif.
He was a devoted husband and loving father, respected by all. He will be greatly missed.
memorial service was held at the Eagle Point National Cemetery on Oct.
