Emmett Havemann

Emmett Havemann, 65, of Trail, died Nov. 6, 2007 at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born to Bud and Gert Havemann in Anaconda, Mont., where he lived for 18 years.
After serving in the US Army, he moved to San Gabriel, Calif. where he met his future wife, Donna, who survives. They were married 43 years.
He was a craftsman machinist by trade for 30 years and a jack-of-all-trades. His imagination and skills allowed him to create endless works of art. His quick wit, infectious laugh, curiosity, practical jokes and willingness to help anyone in need made him a friend to all who met him.
He enjoyed traveling. The love of fishing brought him to the Rogue Valley where he and his wife retired. He loved fishing with his nephew, Bill, hunting, playing dominoes and poker and especially enjoyed barbecuing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David of Canada and Tim of California, two grandsons and  a brother, Edgell Havemann of Idaho. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy, his parents and a sister, Phyllis Allen.
A memorial service was held at Trail Community Church on Nov. 9.
Being true to his giving nature, he volunteered his time and skills to support local kids whom he said gave him more than he gave them. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shady Cove Middle School Wolverine Track Team, Attn: Kathy Alexander, P.O. Box 138, Shady Cove, OR 97539.
Arrangements by Conger-Morris, Medford.
