Our Town opens Nov. 15 at EPHS

Thorton Wilder’s classic play is the most produced American show in schools throughout the United States. The story takes place in Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, at the turn of the century. "Though it’s dated more than a hundred years ago, its stories of life, love, and death could be about any of our communities today," expresses director Jeff Tabler. He adds, "We will stick to the original script, but will include some elements of today. In the original play, there is one stage manager who acts as the narrator; we are using two to tell the story. They will mingle with the audience, allowing them to see inside the lives of the families and the townspeople up close and personal."
Touted as a "Bring Your Own Brown Bag Dinner Theatre," the performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on November 15, 16, and 17 with a matinee at 2 p.m. on the 17th. All shows will be at the Eagle Point High Theatre.
Ticket prices are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors 60 and over and students with ID card. In keeping with the flavor of the theme of Our Town, "Your Town" special discount nights are being offered. The following residents of local communities will only pay $5 on their night with proper ID: Nov. 15, White City, Nov. 16 Shady Cove/Trail, and Nov. 17, Eagle Point.
