Eagle Point had a six point victory over North Valley last Tuesday. The score was
Eagle 57 -No Valley 51.
"The home game was a step in the right direction," said Coach Tim Dexter. "We had lots of good fan support. A lot of Jr Eagles and middle school basketball kids as well as Upper Rogue basketball kids were there in addition to a good student turnout."
Dexter said the kids played extremely well for four quarters. "They did a good job at the end of the game showing toughness and seeing an opportunity to get a win," said the coach.
Austin Rowley, a junior, and David Brasel, a senior, shared high point honors with each scoring 14 points. Johnathan Taylor recorded 11 points.
Austin Marlia had 7 points, Scott Erickson added 4 points as did Derek Tuttle and Jordan Marlia had 2 points.
"Derek Tuttle was the real emotional leader," said Dexter. "He was great on the defensive end."
The team traveled to a tourney in Bend Friday and Saturday where they were scheduled to meet Crook County on Friday and Summit on Saturday.
