EPHS wrestlers were on the road over holidays

The Eagle Point High School wrestling team has experienced a run of tough tournaments in December.
On Dec. 14-15 the team traveled to North Bend-Coos Bay for the Coast Clinic. This is probably the toughest tournament in Oregon, featuring a large number of state placers from all classification levels.
The Eagle wrestlers who placed were: Blake Platt 6th at 145, Kevin Leonardo 5th at 130, Robby Mannenbach 3rd at 171 and Brady Holland 2nd at 140. The team placed 10th.
They traveled to Bend for the Adrian Irwin Invitational on Dec. 21-22.  Those wrestlers placing were Matt Wilson 4th at 140, Josh Winter 3rd at 152, Kevin Leonardo 3rd at 130, Jake Gallo 2nd at 145, Robby Mannenbach 2nd at 171 and Steven Josephson 1st at 160. The team placed 4th.
The next December trip was to the Pacific Coast Championship in Vancouver, Wash. this is considered the toughest tournament held in Washington with state placers from all classifications levels in Washington and several Oregon state placers. Eagle Point wrestlers that placed were Scotty Leonardo 7th at 152 and Robby Mannenbach 5th at 171.
The Eagles next competition will be at the Oregon Classic in Redmond.
