Sean Patrick Duffie

Sean Patrick Duffie died Jan. 17, 2008 while surfing at South Beach in Crescent City. He was doing what he loved to do, ride the best wave of the day.
He was born in San Diego, to Sherryl and Patrick Duffie and moved to Hawaii when was two years old. He spent his high school years in Eagle Point. He was a member of the EPHS wrestling team where he was known by the last name of Carlson,  before moving back to Hawaii.
He married Wendy Webb in 1993. They settle in Phoenix where he started his business, Greco Tile Co.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Katie, 10, and Max, 6, which he considered to be his greatest accomplishments. Other survivors include his mother, Sherryl Carlson of Medford; his father Patrick Duffie of Guam, stepfather, Scott Carlson of Medford; grandmother, Delores Nielson of San Diego; brothers Wynd Carlson of Shady Cove and Ryan Carlson of Hawaii, sister, Tatiana Duffie of Hawaii; step-brother John and step-sister, Roxanne of Guam. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Duffie and his grandmother, Ann Rotar.
A memorial service was held Jan. 26 at Ashland Christian Fellowship. His ashes will be scattered in Maui later this year.
