Long time friends of Helen Wolgamott’s were invited to celebrate her 80th birthday on Saturday, Feb. 3. The event was held at the Grange, of which she has long been a member.
Helen was born Feb. 4, 1928 to Mabel and Elmer Harnish. She and her late husband, Rick, had three children Rikki, Carla and Jayson. They lived on the family farm  above Hannon Drive. The home was remodeled after it was sold a number of years ago.
Volunteering has kept Helen very active and well-known in the community. Whether it is arranging for more holes to be dug for flagpoles or visiting an Eagle Point City Council meeting to update them on happenings, Helen is one involved community member.
Few would guess Helen is 80 years old by looking at her long and active record of volunteerism. Among her numerous activities, she he maintains the flower beds at the Eagle Point Museum, keeps on top of the Avenue of Flag activities and is active in several organizations.
