Lily Luella Love

Lilly Luella Love, 83, died March 11, 2008 .
She was born in Ada, Minnesota on Aug. 26, 1924, to Henry Herbranson and Ella Nelson. She moved to Long Beach, Calif. during WWII where she was proud to have been employed as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica.
During this time she met James D. Love, who was serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. They married in Yuma, Ariz. to March 9, 1946. They moved to Portland where he began a life-long career with Pacific NW Bell Telephone and she worked for Bridgeman Bros. Packing Co.
In 1961, the family moved to Bend where she worked for North Pacific Products and later for Western Union.
In 1968, the family moved to Medford and upon Mr. Love’s retirement, they moved to Trail where they have a home on the Rogue River.
Mrs. Love enjoyed the outdoors, camping, gardening, traveling, knitting and needlepoint. She loved life, laughter and family.
She is survived by her husband, her sister, Audrey Paschall of Palos Verdes, Calif.; her children, John D. Love of Eagle Point, Ron Love of Talent and Sue Korth of Eagle Point, as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence and Herbert, and sisters, Cora and Lottie.
She will be remembered and greatly missed by all who loved her. She was laid to rest at Eagle Point National Cemetery on March 21, with her family present.
