Steve McCuistion, 61, of Eagle Point, died Mar. 3,
2008 at his residence.
The memorial service for
Mr McCuistion was held March 15 at Trail Christian Fellowship, Eagle Point.
He was born Oct. 8, 1946
to Merle and Nona Sullivan McCuistion. He was raised in southern California and in 1966,
he married Sylvia Taylor. They moved to southern Oregon in 1975. Always providing well for
his family, he worked many types of jobs. Then after surgery on his lower
spine, he began a career with (Mike) McCoy Agency in 1978.
He became a Christian in
1977. His passion for Christ led to a small bible study in his home in Trail.
Pastor Jon Courson taught the group until Pastor Rick Booye came. It was a
tremendous blessing for him and his wife to see the church grow to what it is
On Mar. 17, 1994, Mr.
McCuistion joined a company named Mannatech. He became an accomplished leader
and counseled people in many countries. Throughout the years he enjoyed many
sports. In 1991, he won the Oregon State Off Road Mountain Bike Championship
along with many other biking awards. He enjoyed fishing, boating, building RC
airplanes and flying them. He loved his horses and especially his house dogs.
His great love was his family. He was happiest when they were with him. He took
them to Florida and Hawaii a number of times.
He is survived by his
wife; daughter, Stephanie Walls; and a son, Matt McCuistion, five
grandchildren; a brother, Dale, of Shady Cove; a sister, Sharon Williams of Tennessee.
