The 16th annual Eagle Point Arbor Day was celebrated April 10 with the planting of two new trees in Nova Park. The park is a small park at the end of the high school campus and adjacent to Campus Life. The first trees were planted as memory trees a number of years ago. Since that time several  trees have been added.

This year two trees, a Redbud and a Chinese Pistache were planted.

In keeping with the Arbor Day tradition, fifth grade students assisted. The students were from Eagle Rock elementary and Little Butte School.

Following the ceremony, the city provided granola bars and water for all the students at the Ashpole Center.
