Barri D. Schneider

Barri D. Schneider, 48, of Eagle Point, died March 27, 2008 at Rogue Valley Medical Center following a courageous two year battle with cancer.
He was born March 13, 1960 in Medford. He graduated from Medford High School in 1978. On Aug. 3, 1990, he married Beverly at Hot August Nights in Reno.
Mr. Schneider worked at Valley Chevrolet in the early 1980s. He  also owned his owned shop where he painted and restored classic cars. He went to work for Lithia Body and Paint as an estimator in 1993 and continued to work there until  prevented by his health.
He loved to fish and had a passion for speed and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also liked to race RC cars. He spent many late nights in his garage working on cars and in 2006, with the help of friends, completed the jet boat of his dreams.
To many, he was "Bear," to others, he was "Schneider" or "Snidley," but all who knew him would call him "their friend."
He is survived by his wife, Beverly, and his daughter, Baylee; his parents, Claude and Carol Potts of Medford; a sister, Valeri of Medford; two step-sisters, Paula of Florida and Claudia of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
