Dinner-auction and open house mark St. John School events

This Saturday, April 19, is the annual fundraising dinner and auction for St. John Lutheran School. Called "Building as Bright Future," the event is part of the school’s effort  to raise money for the expansion of their school and the construction of permanent buildings to replace the portable structures now in use.
    
The dinner and auction will be held at the Ramada Inn on Saturday, April 19 beginning at 5 p.m.  Stan Deupree will be the auctioneer. The cost is $25. Call the school at 826-4334 to purchase tickets in advance or to donate an item to the auction.
   
The second April event for the school on the hill is an open house on Monday, April 21 from 9-2 p.m. The school serves preschool through fifth grade. Current enrollment is 88 students. All teachers are certified and the classes are all very small, which means teachers can devote more personalized attention to the students.
