Frankie Sheppard, 89, died March 31, 2008 in Medford. Frankie Hazel Minter Sheppard was born Sept. 8, 1918 in Nuyaka, Okla. She married Earl Sheppard in 1938, in Okmulgee, Okla. They moved to Oregon in 1947.
In 1954, they bought Roguedale Market in Shady Cove, which they owned and operated until 1969 when they retired to Medford. They were avid square dancers and long-time members of the Star Promenaders Square Dance Club.
Mrs. Sheppard was a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, rock hounding and sewing.
She is survived by two brothers, Allen Minter, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Douglas Minter of Carson City, Nevada; a daughter, Carole Nielson, of Shady Cove; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren as well as several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
The funeral service for Mrs. Sheppard was April 7 at 2 p.m. at Perl Funeral Home.
