Treasured carved bear stolen from EP residence

This very special bear is one of many yard decorations in Eagle Point to come up missing.
This very special bear is one of many yard decorations in Eagle Point to come up missing.

This bear was recently taken from the home of Don Burda on Crystal Drive in Eagle Point. It is a chainsaw carved bear that was a gift to Burda from his wife, Linda, who passed away last September. It has a very special meaning to Mr. Burda.

Over the last couple of years he has decorated the bear with fishing
poles, flowers, hats, wreaths, U.S. flags, things appropriate for the
season. In the last year he said there has been an element in Eagle
Point that has vandalized the bear and stolen the decorations. "I
cannot understand people that disrespect other people’s property," said
Burda.

Anyone with information is asked to call 944-5159
or better yet, perhaps the person or persons who took the special bear
could return it in the middle of the night, no questions asked.
