UR Watershed cleanup day at Agate Lake

            Down by the Riverside Clean-up and Little Butte
Creek annual picnic is at Agate Lake May 17, from  9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

year’s project will focus on an all lake clean up of Agate Lake for the annual
Down by the Riverside event. Participants will be issued gloves, bags and
litter pickers to help remove some of the trash around the lake. Aluminum cans,
bottles and plastic will be collected separately for recycling at the local
market. Certain items, like tires, metals, and large plastic will be gathered
and delivered to collection sites. A free tote bag will be given to all
participants. Come out and help clean up this important watershed resource.

                At noon
the Little Butte Creek Watershed Council’s Annual Picnic begins right at the
west-side picnic area. Everyone is invited to enjoy hamburgers, beans and
salad, compliments of the Watershed Council. Come learn about some of the
important riparian projects being developed in the area. Let us know how the
Council can assist you in a resource improvement on your property. Consider
attending a monthly meeting (4th Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. at Eagle Point
School District #9 Boardroom) to listen to informed speakers and learn more
about local activities.
