Elsie Vera (Lee) Seagoe

Elsie Vera (Lee) Seagoe, 77, formerly of Eagle Point, died April 26, 2008 at the home of a daughter in Central Point.

Ms. Seagoe was born on Sept. 18, 1930 in Lewis, Colo., to George and
Dora Lee. She married Thomas W. Seagoe on Dec. 22, 1957. They had five
children. They divorced in the early 1980s. He preceded her in death in
January 2007.
   
Throughout much of her life, she was a
bookkeeper, initially with First National Bank as the ledger bookkeeper
and teller, in both Grants Pass and Medford and for Bates Wholesale.
She also worked for Harry & David, Cascade Wholesale and a various
other businesses in the Rogue Valley.
   
Ms. Seagoe was a
long-time member of Trail Christian Fellowship. She loved the Lord and
treasured times of sitting and hearing God’s work wherein she found
great comfort during the difficult times in life.
   
Her many
hobbies included tole painting, antique collecting and gardening,
spending time with her children and grandchildren at their many
sporting and 4H/FFA events. She enjoyed trips to the mountains or the
ocean and family music nights. No matter the activity, she loved being
with her family.
   
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Stanley and Delbert Lee; and one sister, Ada Schoettle.
   
Survivors
include a son, Steve Seagoe of Eagle Point; daughters, Linda Phillips
of Central Point, Sandra Barrett, Sharon Bateman and Deanne Lawrence,
all of Eagle Point; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her
sister, Edith Brannon of Central Point.
   
A Celebration of
Life was held at Trail Christian Fellowship May 3, 2008 with Pastor
Rick Booye officiating. Burial followed at Woodville Cemetery in Rogue
River. Arrangements by Chapel of the Valley, Grants Pass.  Memorial
contributions may be made in Ms. Seagoe’s honor to Providence Hospice.
