Girls Hope for playoffs spoiled

On
Saturday May 3, the Lady Eagles traveled to Ashland in search of a playoff
birth. The Eagles came up short in their quest as they dropped both ends of the
Southern Sky Conference doubleheader. Game one went 10 innings with Ashland
winning 3-2, game two ended in the regular 7 innings by an identical 3-2 score.

 

Game
one- Pitching: Karli Stephens- 10 innings, giving up 3 runs, with 1 error, 1
hit, 5 strikeouts, and no walks.

Hitting:
Katie Jolliffe went 2 for 3, with 1 run, and Ashley Josephson went 1 for 4,
with 2 RBI, with 1 home run.

Game
two- Pitching: Karli Stephens- 5 innings, gave up 3 runs, with 3 errors, 8
hits, 3 strikeouts, and 1 walk; Chloe Hanson- pitched 1 inning, with no runs,
no errors, no hits, with 1 strikeout and no walks.

Hitting:
Jen Fernandes went 3 for 4 with 1 run, Ashley Josephson went 3 for 4, with 1
RBI, and Karlie Stephens went 2 for 4.

The
Eagles are currently 15-8 on the season and played Mazama in Klamath on
Saturday May 10.
