Goodwill has come of age. Looking more like an upscale clothing store than what many think of when they mention Good will, the new, spacious White City facility opened May 1.
It is located between Antelope Road and Avenue G, at 8080 Hwy. 62.

The glass enclosed retail center is 7500 sq. ft. with an additional
3500 sq. ft. set aside for  production and receiving of donations,
nearly double the previous location in the Cascade Shopping Center.  A
drive through window has been added to facilitate the community’s
donations in an easier and timelier manner.

The added
square footage  also means five to 10 additional program participants
will have  an opportunity to fulfill the company’s mission, which is
"Helping individuals and families build social and employment skills
needed to achieve personal and economic independence."

"We’re
very excited about our new White City store," said Gayle Byrne
president and CEO. "We have had a retail presence in White City since
1969, however I was continually asked when we would have an actual
store. The new store will serve White City and the Upper Rogue with
expanded retail, donation and parking space. It enables Goodwill to
build with an eye toward the future and the look of the White City
store will be used in any future building projects. It will be a
wonderful environment to help people who are challenged with employment
barriers."

Hours are Monday-Saturday, 10-7 p.m. and Sunday, 11- 5 p.m.
