Adrian ( Spike) Bordner

Adrian (Spike) Bordner was born January 19, 1917, to Oscar and Sylvia Bordner in Hugo, Okla. He was one of 10 children. The family moved to California as a result of the Dust Bowl when Spike was four years old.
He was in the U.S. Army in Iceland during WWII and upon his return he worked for the Post Office. He retired after 31 years and he and his wife, Dorothy, moved to Oregon in 1974. He spent the years since then hunting, fishing and living on the Rogue River. He enjoyed life.
Spike loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; three children, Cindee Schael, Bonnie (Mike) Malepsy, and Bob (Dorothy Norman) Bordner. He had wonderfully memorable times with his seven grandchildren; Casey, Evan, Syslee, Katee, Emilee, Tessa, Niki, and most recently with his great-granddaughter, Sloan.
There will be a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. June 4, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima, in Shady Cove. A get together will follow at 100 Meadow Lane in Shady Cove.
We will miss his smiling face and happy-go-lucky spirit. We all loved Spike.
