Carol Reed

Carol (Nana)  Reed, 60, of Sams Valley, died May 29, 2008 at her home with her husband by her side.
She was born Dec. 29, 1947 in SanAnna, Calif. to Richard Baird and Alice Mackey. She moved to Medford where she attended school and there she met her future husband, Dan Reed, who has been her husband for 41 years.  After graduating from Medford High School, they were married and started their family.
Mrs. Reed’s career as a waitress included the Union Club and  Sally’s Place. For the last four years she has been a favorite waitress  at  Moozie’s Café and Longhorn Saloon in Eagle Point, where she employed at the time of her death. She lovingly spoke of her co-workers and customers and treated them as if they were her second family. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed camping, fishing, shopping, as well as gardening and spending time with her dogs.
In addition to her husband, Dan Reed; she is survived by her mother, Alice Mackey; daughters, Laurie Sylvester and Danie Ceremony and son, Kevin Reed; grandchildren, Kristen, Kayla, Alice, Jordan, Grace, Aaron, Branden, Skyelir and J’lyn; sisters, Janet, Nancy, Karen, Debbie, Susan and Mary Margaret and three brothers, David, Donald and Steven.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain Christian Fellowship, 1 E. Main, Medford on Thursday, June 12 at 2 p.m. All are invited who shared in this wonderful woman’s life. She will be truly missed.
A benevolent fund to assist with funeral and medical expenses has been established at any Washington Mutual Branch under the name Carol Reed , in lieu of flowers.
