EP's 2nd Saturday expanded to include downtown, variety of artists wanted

The 2nd Saturday concept in Eagle Point is about to expand. Currently it is a feature of the Eagle Point Library and of Butte Creek Mill. And, of course, every Saturday there is the popular Saturday Market.

Rather than competing with any of these activities, the Eagle Point Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring 2nd Saturday Art Experience in the downtown area. This is an opportunity for artists with various talents, to gain exposure or simply to offer entertainment. Musical groups, poetry readings, drama, dancers, along with the many talented visual artists are anticipated.

Booth spaces are $25 with a $10 refundable fee. There is power at certain locations for a $10 fee. This is not a money making project for the Chamber of Commerce. Any profits will be set aside for community and youth groups.

The first 2nd Saturday will be July 12. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Booth registration forms are available at the Upper Rogue Independent.  For more information, call Julie Kennedy at 301-3397, Sandi Erskine at 826-0590 or Garland Arnaud at 855-1304.
