George Carl Anderson

George Anderson, 88,  died Aug. 8, 2008 at his home in White City.
He was born Jan. 15, 1920, to Gilbert and Alivina Anderson, of Michigan, N.D. He was raised by Alfred and Kari Anderson of North Dakota.
Mr. Anderson served in the Civilian conservation Corp in 1937 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and a 2nd Class Gunner’s Mate.
He moved to the Medford area in 1946 and married Iris (Betty) Davis, of Medford, on Sept. 4, 1947.  He spent his years a log truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and raising sheep and cows at his White City home. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Central Point.
Mr. Anderson is survived by two daughters, Ruth O’Connor of Prospect and Carol Grigsby, of Milwaukie, Ore; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The service for Mr. Anderson was held Aug. 13, 2008 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
