EPHS track at Cascade Christian

Eagle Point competed in the Cascade Christian Invitational on Sept. 23. The meet was held in Jacksonville on a very challenging, steep hilly course. Weather conditions were excellent. Eagle Point boys made a good showing. Senior Peter Bilden led the Eagles with a sixth place finish in a time of 20:00. Junior Joey Logan finished in 13th place with a time of 20:59. Another junior, Cody Warren, came in 18th with a time of 21:45. Freshman Keifer Pehowic was 22nd with 22:58.

Others included senior Michael Harvey in 36th place with a 25:45 time and  freshman Michael Sankey was 42nd with 26:58.
   
The girls varsity had senior Ashley Sankey in 46th with a time of 24:49 while freshman Chloe Hanks was 54th with 29:31.
   
A
newcomer to the girls varsity is senior Marla DeMello. She is a foreign
exchange student from Brazil. She finished in 65th place with a time of
32:40. A total of 71 athletes competed in this event.
   
Tyler Vandyke, Cody Morris and Tyler Johnson did not compete.
   
"I
was pleased with the performance of this team today," said Coach Al
Logan. "They all realize they have a long way to go in a very short
amount of time. Districts are just around the corner."
