Mary “Billie” Bartz, 80, of Eagle Point, passed away at home
surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, after a long
struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born March 19, 1928 in Newton, Kansas to

On July 8, 1951, Billie married the love of her life, Ray
Carroll Bartz. They shared 57 wonderful years together. She was a dedicated
wife, mother, and friends and a woman who loved and valued her family, friends
and Jesus. One of the most patient, kind and loving souls, she was everyone’s
soft place to fall and a standard to be upheld.
Billie enjoyed dancing, traveling in their RV and jeeping.
She and her husband were members of the Chuckawalla Jeep Club for 40 years, and
after retiring they became members of Medford Elks and RV Club. Most of all she
enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones.
Billie is survived by her husband, Ray, and four children, a
son, Dennis Bartz and his wife, Pam, of Laverne, Calif., daughters Patricia
Frost and husband, Rick, of Wildomar, Calif., Charlene Grafton, and husband,
Sheldon, of Eagle Point, and Darlene Bartz, also of Eagle Point; eight
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with another great-granddaughter due in December.
Billie was proceeded in death by her parents and only
sister, Betty Hanstine and her infant daughter, Rayann.
A memorial service was held
at Hillcrest Memorial Park Friday, Sept. 12, 2008.
