Volleyball has big win against Grants Pass

EPHS volleyball is 2-2 after a big win against Grants Pass
on Sept. 11.

That game saw Eagle Point defeat the Cavemen girls 3-0 in
three matches; 26-24, 25-20 and 25-20.

Angie Kalivas had 10 kills, Rilee Jefferson was close behind
with 9 and Kristin Wyatt had 8. McKensie Re had 19 digs while Alyssa Brown had
27 assists.

This game showed the girls could work together as a team
when a key player, Erin Hedrick, was out with an ankle injury. That injury has
her leg in a brace and she is on crutches and probably will miss several weeks
of play.

Eagle Point started the year against North Medford on Sept.
2. North won 25-14, 25-10, 25-13. Hedrick had 8 kills and 5 digs. Brown had 19
assists, as North won 3-0.

The Eagle defeated North Valley 3-1 on Sept. 4. Statistical
leaders include Hedrick with 22 kills while Jefferson had 7 kills and 5 digs.
Brown was huge in the assist department with 38.

The girls lost against Henley on Sept 9. Henley 3, EP
1.  Scores were: 13-25, 29-27, 23-25,

Individual leaders were Jefferson with 13 kills, Kalivas
with 11 and Wyatt with 7. Re had 22 digs and Brown was once again right there
with 35 assists.
