Wayne Eugene Scheu

“Papa” Wayne Eugene Scheu, 68, of Medford, died Sept. 10,
2008.

 

He was born Nov. 9, 1939 in Merrill, Wisc., to Arnold and
Esther Scheu. He served in the Army with the 11th Calvary in
Vietnam.

 

On July 25, 1988, he married his “sweetie bug,” Cathy. He
owned Wayne’s Barber Shop for 30 years. It was only recently that the sign
hanging above the shop in Ray’s Shopping Center was changed. He was a legendary
golfer and bowler and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a
member of Eagle Point Lions while an Eagle Point businessman.

 

In addition to his wife, Catherine, he is survived by his
father, Arnold Scheu, of Longview, Wash.; a brother, Gordon and wife, Diane, of
Central Point; and a sister, Darlene and her husband, Dennis Creal, of Longview,
Wash. His wonderful children include two daughters, Catherine Ladd, and her
husband, Terrence, Angela Allbright and her husband, Bill; sons, Jim Trotter
and Gary Trotter and many grandchildren.

 

Mr. Scheu was preceded in death by his brother and brothers,
Jerry and Dale Scheu.

 

The service for Mr. Scheu will be held at the Eagle Point
National Cemetery Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Southern Oregon Lions, 228 N. Holly, Medford, Ore., 97501.
