EP FFA wreath & poinsettia sale Dec.3-5

The Eagle Point High School Agricultural Sciences and Technology program is taking on two major projects for Eagle Point this holiday season.

The first is a community service project to benefit local District 9
families. Eagle Point FFA is partnering with the District 9 family
services liaison to ‘adopt’ three families for the holiday season. This
will entail providing a holiday meal, and purchasing gifts for all the
family members from a wish-list provided by the liaison. To further
this effort; we will be having a canned/dry food drive. Any donations
would be appreciated including gift-certificates for turkeys and hams.

To
help fund this first project as well as others in the Ag-department our
second project is a more traditional fundraiser. Eagle Point Ag
students will be selling hand crafted wreaths and poinsettias. The
wreaths will be 16 inches, made of evergreen and handmade by students.
Poinsettias will be planted in 6" pots, in a variety of different
colors, and wrapped in decorative foil or cellophane. The price for
both items will be $15.

Wreaths and poinsettias may be
purchased from any FFA member or at the annual poinsettia and wreath
sale. Dec. 3, 4 and 5, from 3p.m. to 7p.m. at the green houses behind
the school. This would also be a good time to drop off any canned/dry
food or gift certificates for the "adopt a family" program.

If
you have any questions about these activities, or any other topic,
please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Frost at 830-6631 or Mr. North at
830-6616.

The families that make up the Eagle Point
community are known for supporting the Eagle Point FFA, its students,
and the greater community. We would like to thank you in advance for
helping us with these projects.
