Bud McCune, 79, of Eagle Point, Ore passed away on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the home of companion Christine Meyer.
Bud was born on Oct. 1, 1929 in Gig Harbor, WA. He moved to Eagle Point in 1941.
Bud served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. After the Army, he lived all over the Pacific Northwest working mostly as a logger and ranch hand.
Later in life, Bud and Christine enjoyed years of traveling the Western U.S. while connecting with old friends, and sharing their love of scenic and wildlife photography. He also enjoyed making silhouettes and participating in several of the local bazaars and flea markets. He most recently had been volunteering his time at the Rogue Book exchange.
Bud is survived by his two daughters Marie Thompson and Denise Beatty; six grandchildren, Christina, Amanda, Joshua, Amber, Aaron, and Andrew; great grandson Evan; sister Barbara Elkington of Milton-Freewater, Ore.; and two brothers Bruce of Hermiston, Ore. and Stanley of Ellensberg, Wash.
Bud will be laid to rest with his parents in Milton-Freewater, Ore.
