James Milton Westfall, 80, of Eagle Point, died Oct. 31, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Westfall was born in Telluride, Colo. to James and Ethel Westfall, who preceded him in death. He came to Oregon as a young man. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949, and then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-951.
While home on leave in 1949, he married Betty Mynatt. They raised three children. Mr. Westfall worked for Steve Wilson Logging, owned the Saw shop and retired from the U.S. Forest Service.
Survivors include his son, Robert Westfall, daughter, Carol Yates, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; daughter, Victoria Westfall; his parents; three sisters and one brother.
The service for Mr. Westfall will be held at a later date.
