She is survived by her mother and father, Sarah and Ed Kahut of Sams Valley,  Her older brother, Marine PFC Joseph Kahut and his wife, Aimee of Jacksonville NC., younger brother AJ and younger sisters, Juli, Tori, Shaynie and Trisstan, all of Sams Valley.
Krystina was a graduate of Crater High School. She was an accomplished and published writer of poems.  She also has written a children’s book, which is in the process of being illustrated.  She loved camping, swimming, shopping and reading. She also loved to spend time as the biggest fan of her siblings who played sports.
As much of a struggle it was over the last 20 years for her to live her life with her disease, she loved to live it.  Her most cherished possessions were her family and her friends. Krystina touched the life of many and will not ever be forgotten.
Krystina and her whole family would like to thank the city of Eagle Point and surrounding area for their support when Krystina was born and diagnosed with heart and lung disease and had to make the long trip to Boston Children’s Hospital.  Without your support the long three month trip and stay in Boston would have been very difficult and stressful, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we know that Heavenly Father has blessings for all of you.
The service for Krystina was held at the Central Point Stake Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints  in Central Point on Saturday, Nov. 22. Donations may be made at either Washington Mutual Bank or PremierWest Bank in her name. Funeral arrangements were by Perl Funeral Home.
