A gold winner

Former Eagle Point, Shady Cove residents Maxine and Myron Dover recently updated their activities to Eagle Point resident Doris Womelsdorf.
                
This  past summer, Myron participated in the State Senior Olympics in Las Cruces, N.M. and returned to his Arizona home with the following medals:
   Gold-Discus – 57 ft. 4 ½ in.
   Gold-Javelin- 52 ft. 11 in.
   Gold- Standing Long Jump- 4 ft. 6 in.
   Gold- Shotput- 22 ft. 9 in.
   
In October, in Phoenix, Arizona, he competed in the Senior Olympics Fall Classic, with the following results:
   Gold- Discus- 63 ft. 3/4 in.
   Gold- Javelin- 49 ft. 10 3/4  in.
   Gold- Standing Long Jump- 4 ft. 5 ½ in.
   Gold- Shotput- 23 ft. 5 in.
   
Myron has qualified to attend the National Senior Olympics in 2009. He has participated in the Senior Olympics for 25 years.
   
Why are these results so amazing? Mr. Dover just turned 89 years old.
