At 12:20, Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, with her four daughters at her side, Diana Merle Sandstrom Farley was led peacefully to the other side of the veil by her second daughter, Jean Cantwell. Diana was 80 years old.
Diana served as a volunteer at the Upper Rogue Community Center in
Shady Cove, Oregon for 13 years. Moving from California, where she
raised seven children, Diana was an active supporter of the URCC and a
member of the Wildflower Association. She always had a smile and a kind
word to share and a crochet hook in her hand,
survived by Harlan "Bud" Farley, her husband of 55 years; six children:
JoAnn MacDonnell, Jana Haberman, Dan Farley, Jacque Mooney, Dale Farley
and J’lene Pantlik’ a slew of grandchildren; a handful of
great-grandchildren, a sister, Violet Morris; a brother, C.H. "Sandy"
Sandstrom and a host of friends and extended family members.
celebrate Diana’s life, two services were planned. A funeral was held
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 in Yuba City. Calif. Arrangements are being
coordinated with the Chapel of the Twin cities (Yuba City, Ca.)
memorial service is also planned Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at
the Upper Rogue Community Center in Shady Cove. Lunch will be served
immediately following the memorial service, provided by the Eagle Point
Ward Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
