By the end of this year, there should be a brand new, up-to-date commercial kitchen in the Eagle Point Grange.
Funds for this project and others upcoming are a result of the sale of the lot between the Grange and the Eagle Point Community Bible Church to the church, according to Karen Frink.
Frink and her father, Wayne Marshall, are overseeing the improvement
project. When complete, there will be a four-bay steam table and a six
ft. salad bar separating the kitchen from the dining area. Along the
side wall will be a large four burner range, and hood for good
ventilation, a large grill and next to that, a char broiler. The
refrigeration unit will be beside it.
The double sinks and
dishwasher will be along the back wall. There will be additional
shelving and an island cabinet to complete an overview of the project.
Key contractors on the job include Tom Taylor, Custom Taylored Construction, Rogue Restaurant Equipment and Kottke Plumbing.
and Frink recently smoothed out the parking area and removed the chain
link fence to improve the parking area behind the Grange.
improved kitchen will not only be of benefit to the Grange for their
dinners, it should enable them to rent the space for various events.
