EPHS boys basketball results

The Eagles traveled to North Valley on Tuesday, Dec. 9, for a non-league contest with the Knights. The Eagles prevailed with a 52-35 victory over the host Knights. The game was very physical with the Eagles going to the free throw line a season high 37 times. The Eagles made 25 of their 37 attempts to keep the Knights at bay.

The
Eagles opened play with Phoenix in the Berry’s Holiday Classic
Tournament in Phoenix on Friday, Dec. 12. The game was close throughout
and both teams demonstrated great patience on offense and tough
pressure defense. The Eagles prevailed with a 42-37 victory in double
overtime.

The Eagles
returned to Phoenix on Saturday to play Sweet Home in the championship
game of the Berry’s Holiday Classic. The Eagles jumped out to a quick
8-1 lead, but the Huskies picked up the defensive pressure and the
Eagles were unable to respond in any consistent fashion, struggling to
capitalize on scoring opportunities the rest of the way. A season high
24 turnovers, were also a big factor in the 52-38 loss. The Eagles
currently stand at 4-2 on the young season.
