EPMS 8th grade 5-3 on the season

The Eagle Point Middle School 8th grade JV boys basketball team finished their season 5 and 3.  Wins were against White Mountain Middle School (43-10 and 34-21), Butte Falls (22-14), Grace Christian (44-27), and South Grants Pass (46-35).


Although tallied in the "loss" column, the three games EPMS dropped
were extremely valuable.  In the early season loss to New Hope
Christian (30-28), the Panthers learned how to stop a quick transition
team which would prove valuable in their victory against South Grants
Pass at the end of the season.  The loss to Mac 2 (30-29) taught the
Panthers the value of playing as a team and never giving up, while the
loss to Scenic taught the boys how to play with mental and physical
All Stars on the EPMS 8th JV team are:  Boston
Ehlers (39 points), Adam Huntsman (32 points), Brian Lynch (32 points),
Tyler Stanek (32 points), Eric Radcliffe (30 points), Colton Pomeroy
(29 points), Skyler Caster (27 points), Austin Travis (21 points),
Jesse Sattler (14 points), Cooper Wolf (13 points), and Nick Smith with
(6 points).  
Coach Hohnstein thanked the Panthers for a
great season.  She said the young men learned to play as a team with
honor, dignity, and respect.  Keep setting your goals high and working
hard to achieve them.  Only good things can come from teamwork and
perseverance.  "Panthers on 3!  1 – 2 – 3!"
