Crater outscores Eagles

The Eagles ventured to Crater High on Friday, Jan. 16 to take on the Comets in a Southern Sky Conference match-up. The Eagles came up short by a 50-69 count. Once again the Eagles got off to a slow start trailing 21-10 at the end of the first period. The Eagles battled back to trail by only 6 points with 3 minutes remaining in the third period. Over the next 6 minutes the Comets out scored the Eagles 20-4, as the Eagles went 2-11 from the field and committed 5 turnovers during that span.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Austin Rowley and Logan Winter with 15 points each. Ty Holmes and Zach Reed tallied 6 points each. Holmes grabbed a team high 9 rebounds and Rowley added 6. Austin Marlia led the Eagles with 4 assists on the night. The Eagles dropped to 7-7 (0-3) on the season and host the K.U. Pelicans on Friday.
