Lee Roy V. Draper

Lee Roy V. Draper, 78, of Eagle Point, died Jan. 8, 2009 at his home after a long battle with COPD.
Mr. Draper was born in Shamrock, Texas, on Feb. 7, 1930 to Virgil and Beatrice Moore Draper. He came to Oregon in 1940 where he attended Butte Falls, Derby, Reese Creek and Prospect schools. He married Rose Mary Manly on Jan. 16, 1948 in Prospect.

He enjoyed playing music, hunting, traveling and dune buggying with
family and friends. He was a truck driver since he was 18 years old. He
retired after 35 years with R.B. Browns Trucking in 1995. He loved his
family and was most happy when he was with them. He was very loved and
will be extremely missed.
He leaves behind his beloved
wife of 61 years, Rose; son, Bill (Sandy) Lake Havasu City, Ariz.;
daughter, Judy Hull (John) of Shady Cove; daughter-in-law, Debbie
Draper and spouse, Terry Coryell of Fallon, NV; brother, Jim Draper
(Joan), Redwood Valley, CA; sisters, Rita Bentley of Carson City, NV
and Barbara Middlemist of Castle Rock, CO; brother of his heart, Jack
Rienks (JoAnn) of Gilchrist; five grandchildren and their spouses and
11 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, a son,
Dan Draper and great-grandson, Daniel Williams.     The service for Mr.
Draper was Jan. 14 at  at Perl Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers,
