Postmaster's daughter get stamp cancelled on Oregon's 150th

ImageSadie Williams 96, the great-granddaughter of William G. Knighten who was the first postmaster in Trail back in 1893, came with her daughter Gennell Williams to have letters cancelled on Oregon’s 150th birthday. Trail Postmaster, Barbara Falcy, not only sold stamps and envelopes but gave the long line of people history lessons while they waited. The two descendants of Knighten are now residents of Ashland.
