The Eagle Point All School Reunion held Mar. 21 at EPHS was very well attended with about 200 young and old, coming from near and far. Mel Morris’s famous tri-tips and chicken probably had something to do with the attendance.

The reunion actually began many years ago with Nevah Taylor and members of the class of 1912 and under. Nevah set the date as the Saturday nearest to St. Patrick’s Day. She felt it was also a time to bid farewell to winter and welcome spring.

Five generations of Nevah’s have attended Eagle Point Schools, along
with her sisters, Mabel Taylor Harnish and Ethel Taylor Coy. Today, a
great niece and nephew are counted on the roles of District 9.

This
year three graduates of the 13 members of the EPHS Class of 1934 were
present. Those three who graduated 75 years ago were: Cora Crandall
Bitterling, Vickie Dahack Dugan and Doris Houston Boothby.

A
look back at the class notes and class will reveals a bit about this
trio. Doris Houston spent a semester as editor of the Eagle Quill while
Cora Crandall was one of the advertising managers. "Vic" Dahack was
editor of the "personal" column. Doris was class salutatorian.

In
their class will, Doris "wills her name to any man who will change it."
While Victoria Dahack said she "wills to Helen Kent her ability to walk
like Mae West."  And Cora Crandall willed to Carl Lawson "the ability
of successfully playing pranks on the teachers."

The class graduated on May 18, 1934 at The Oasis.

Several
from the Class of 1939 were present. They included: Don Grissom and
Evelyn Jack Straus. Chester Robertson, who lives in Florence, was
unable to attend.

attendance included: Roy Carnes, Lou Dudley Burnham, Dorothy Force
Clover, Jim Trammell, Maryann Laatz Lockridge, Janet Turner Warrick,
