Mark D. Parara Sr

Mark D. Parara Sr.  Of Eagle Point, died suddenly on Mar. 1, 2009 with his family at his side.
He was born July 28, 1953.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Martha; his mother, Edna; brothers, Kim and Gary; sister, Nikki; his two sons; Stephen and Mark Jr.; and three grandchildren, Joseph, Jordyn and Joshua.
Mark moved to Oregon when he was 19 years old to pursue a career as a chef, working in Portland and then In Medford. He worked for the Hungry Woodsmen for a number of years. This is where he met his wife, Martha, and his son, Stephen. They married just months after they met and made a wonderful life together. The family lived in Medford until 1991, when they moved to the Butte Falls area to live in the dream home that they built. Mark Sr. Spent his days after he became disabled enjoying the wildlife on their property, searching for rock treasures and catching and releasing fish.
Mark Sr. spent every chance he could with his grandkids fishing in a neighbor’s pond, teaching them about rocks and a grandpa’s love. Mark’s passing came days before his grandson Joshua’s second birthday, but not before he made an everlasting memory as Joshua was a grandpa’s boy. The grandkids would stay over any chance they got and Mark loved to have them.
If you ever met Mark you knew he was a kind, loyal, strong and loving man. He will forever be cherished and missed by those who loved and knew him. His smile will forever be in our dreams and his love forever in our hearts.
The family held a private service at Mark and Martha’s home so everyone could enjoy what made their dream home special.
