Saturday, April 11 is the date. That is the day before Easter and here are local activities:
In Butte Falls the Butte Falls Lady Lionesses will sponsor their Easter Egg Hunt. It will be at 10 a.m. at the Butte Falls elementary school ground. This event is for ages 0-11 years. There will be prize eggs, but the children will need to find them.
Rainey’s Corner, Hwy. 234 and Antioch, is holding a rather special Easter egg hunt. They will take each child individually to an area in the hay barn designed for his or her age and ability. There will be one basket per child, compliments of Rainey’s Corner. No age restrictions. The event will run from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 11.
Eagle Cove Assisted Living, 261 Loto St., will offer their 4th annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. For information, call 830-0355.
For the 22st year, the Eagle Point Community Association will hold their Easter Egg Hunt at the “old” junior high sports field (So. Shasta Avenue) at 11 a.m. Should it rain, it will be in the old gym. Lots of free candy and stuffed animals. One prize for each age group
There are six age groups: 2 years and under
- 3-4 years 5-7 years 8-9 years 10-11 years and special needs.

The Shady Cove Masonic Lodge will handle this event on April 11 at 10:15 a.m. at Shady Cove School. There will be 550 dozen eggs ready for the taking. For information call Allen Quail 821-2605.
As has been the tradition for a number of years, the Sheriff’s Department will be flipping pancakes at WCE from 8:30-10:30 on Apr. 11. Children can enjoy games during that time and then at 11 a.m. it will be Easter Egg hunt time. Age groups are up to 3, 4-6 years, 7-9 years and 10-12 years.
