Morley H. Pingle, 99, of Butte Falls, died April 14, 2009 at his home in the serene surroundings he loved at his ranch, gazing over his fields of cattle and the beautiful valley of tall trees.
Mr. Pingle was born Mar. 24, 1910 in Bothwell, Ontario, Canada, one of six children born to Harry and Florence (Reynolds) Pingle. He was a kind, generous man who had a zest for life and a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Ellen Livingston, of Medford, and Morlene Atkinson, of San Clemente, Calif; a son, Allan Pingle, of Eagle Point; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Julia Mary (Hubbard) Pingle and three children.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held Saturday, Apr. 25, at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens chapel. A reception will follow. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Jackson County 4H, 569 Hanley Road, Central Point, OR 97502.
