Pearl Jennie Bartling

Pearl Jennie Bartling, 95, of Medford, died Apr. 2, 2009 at Edwina Gardens Adult Foster Home in Central Point of complications from Alzheimer’s.
    
She was born Apr. 17, 1913, in Bellingham, Wash., to Peter A. and Jennie Belinda Lund Brandt. She attended schools in Bellingham and Seattle and graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, in 1931. She married Murray R Bartling on Aug. 9, 1936.

 

Ms. Bartling retired from the Eagle Point Post Office in 1978. She
formerly was active in Home Extension, Lake Creek Grange, Roxy Ann
Grange and Antelope Ladies’ Social Club. She was a member of St. John
Lutheran Church, in Eagle Point.
   
Those who knew here remember her radiant smile and active life.
   
She
is survived by daughters, Mary (Mel) Amaro, Medford, and Carole (Mike)
Thorogood, Paris, Tenn.; sons, Richard (Toni) Bartling, Medford and
Andrew (Lynne) Bartling of Danville, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray,
in 1977, and by daughters, Eleanore Mekeel (1979) and Jenifer (Jenny)
Ordal (1997).
   
The graveside service was held at Siskiyou
Memorial Park on Apr. 4. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John
