Ruth Frances Carroll, 95, of Medford, Ore., passed away Feb. 19, 2009 at Caring Hands in Medford, Ore.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Eagle Point Grange Hall, South Shasta Ave., Eagle Point, Ore.
Mrs. Carroll was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Bard, CA., to William E. And Augusta D. Henson. She attended Arizona public schools and was a graduate of Belmont High School. She graduated fro UCLA in 1934. She married Kermit Aikman Carroll, Sept. 27, 1937, in Los Angeles, CA. He preceded her in death. She lived on a dairy farm her in the Rogue Valley that she and her husband built in Eagle Point from 1946 to 1978, then she lived in Medford from 1978 to present.
Mrs. Carroll was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for Crater Lake Motors, in Medford, for 25 years.
She enjoyed reading, bridge, travel, children, and grandchildren. She was a 50 year member of the Eagle Point Grange; Rogue Valley C.C until 1987 and numerous bridge groups.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine A. Forbes (John), Susan D. Hanscom (Edward) and Nancy G. Meyer (Joseph); 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Isabelle Huffman; son, Steven A Carroll; and grandson, Mark E. Hanscom.
