Library summer programs

"Be Creative @ Your Library" this summer. Join Jackson County Library Services’ 2009 Summer Reading Program. Explore the world of music, dance, art, and books, and enjoy a variety of fun programs. Make a book, learn about musical instruments, dance and sing with Rich Glauber, or listen to a story told by Jeff Defty. Earn incentives while improving reading skills.

Registration for the program begins Monday, June 8. Children age 3-12
are invited to sign up at their local branch library. All children who
read or listen to ten books will receive a special bookmark, a reading
certificate, and a coupon for a free kid’s meal from HomeTown Buffet.
Kids who complete the program will also be eligible to enter local
branch library drawings for additional prizes.

Parents of
infants and toddlers 0-36 months can read to their children and receive
a gift book, a signed certificate, and a bookmark. Everyone is invited
to attend special summer reading activities and performances at branch
libraries around Jackson County. For more information, contact your
local branch library or visit our Web site at www.jcls.org./
