Time is getting short to get tickets for the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus coming to Eagle Point on Tuesday, May 12. It is sponsored by the Eagle Point Chamber of Commerce. And is the Chamber’s major fund raiser for the year. Your Chamber was a major contributor and coordinated the effort to get the petunia baskets in Eagle Point again this year.
This circus is wholesome family entertainment. It will be on the granite parking lot at EPHS. Performances will be at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are reduced prior to the day of the event. Children’s tickets are $6 and adult tickets are $8. They are available at the Upper Rogue Independent in Ray’s Shopping Center; Butte Creek Mill, PremierWest Bank in Eagle Point and Rogue Federal in Eagle Point. Prices at the gate will increase to $7 and $11.
The circus is scheduled to start unloading about 7:30 a.m. on show day. They will be setting up at the granite area at Eagle Point High School, just off Platt and Nova. The menagerie will be on display all day, according to circus officials. The midway opens one hour before show time. Camels, high were, clowns-it is all coming under the big top.
